From General Lynch: Today the Secretary of Defense and the Secretary of the Army announced that active component Army units will now have standard deployments of 15 months.

Fortunately(?) I have been preparing for Rob to be gone for 18 months, so IF he is gone 15, it’s better. I feel bad for all the families who have soldiers over there expecting a 12 month deployment, as those are being extended to 15 months. I believe in what he is doing, but having him gone that long is just hard!

Yes, snow on the ground yesterday. Lot’s of it. We had a nice day in spite of it, dinner at my Ace Hem Pinner’s house, with her dh and two littlest kids(none of her big kids were home either).

Thank you 2A…..he brought over a new keyboard, and it looks so hi-tech compared to the old one, plus it isn’t missing keys, and I can type little ttttttttttttt’s to my heart’s content!!! Now the only part of our computer system that hasn’t been replaced is the hard drive.
